Andrew Cortez, CPA
Co-founder & Advisor
In past years, Andrew owned a CPA practice which focused on small business, consulting, accounting, and tax preparation.
He has also served as an Internal Audit Manager for the Texas State Comptroller of Public Accounts, Director of Accounting for the Employee Retirement System of Texas, Director of Fund Accounting for the Texas State Treasury, Assistant Director of Accounting for the Texas Education Agency, CFO for the Texas State 911 Commission, Controller for two private corporation and CFO & Controller for two non-profit organization.
Andrew has been an avid runner all his life, a vegetarian for over twenty years and loves to garden organic vegetables. He loves watching action packed movies, riding Sonic e-bike and doing boxing workouts. He has served on numerous Boards of Trustees and has a passion for helping underserved communities

Raquel Hernandez is an accountant with 20 years of experience supporting financial operations of small businesses. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston Clear Lake, she brings a deep understanding of financial management and operational efficiency.
Having dedicated her career exclusively to small businesses, she has an thorough appreciation for the unique challenges they face. Whether you're launching a new business or growing an established one she is passionate about helping you reach your goals.
Raquel enjoys spending time outdoors and caring for her pets. She has a keen interest in learning, particular in the field of construction. Above all, she cherishes quality time with family and friends. She also strives to help children develop the emotional intelligence and practical skills they will need, an effort that reflects her broader dedication to making a positive impact in the community.
